Transform Arte, Art Fair Eisenstadt

Michelle Maria Müller

As a native Australian (Sydney) with Austrian roots and Gomeroi Aboriginal ancestry I moved to Vienna in 1970, where I was raised in an artistic and creative family.

Inspired by my surroundings, I experimented with a variety of styles of painting from an early age on. After years of autodidactic development which led to my objective and abstract style, I extended and professionalized my abilities by working with distinguished international artists in Austria and abroad, like Prof. Christian Ludwig Attersee.

Since 2003 I live and work in the Wienerwald (Vienna Woods) in Lower Austria and am proud to pass on my knowledge and skills as a freelance artist in courses and workshops in the region. Lately I have focused on my australian origin and travelled several times to the country of my ancestors. Since then I have dedicated myself to the topic of „Contemporary Aboriginal Art“.

I want to express my personal history, as a connection between European and Australian aboriginal culture, through my art. My paintings are diaries reflecting my experiences and feelings yet giving the viewer enough room for their own interpretation.

I work with natural pigments as well as acrylic and oil paints, which I put on top of each other in several glazing layers. Through this I connect my intimate work, that is devoted to the respect for the „Elders & Ancestors“ of the past, present and future, with the claim to high-quality art.
